Physicians who have completed pediatric, internal medicine, or family practice residency training in the United States are invited to apply to the Adolescent Center for a position in our one-year clinical fellowship training program. Our fellows have the opportunity to refine their clinical skills in the care of adolescent patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Participation in community healthcare settings is provided, and the development of new ties with the community is encouraged. Teaching is an important part of the fellowship year. Fellows have the opportunity to teach pediatric residents and Washington University medical students in clinical settings and by leading didactic sessions. In addition, numerous opportunities exist to teach in community settings. Washington University School of Medicine is renowned for the depth and breadth of its research programs, and fellows are encouraged to participate in a research project during their clinical year. Our flexible adolescent medicine fellowship training program allows fellows to tailor their training program to fit their needs.
